Judith Wielander
is an independent curator based in Brussels and Lecce. Her main curatorial research focuses on the intersection of Art and Social Engagement. She was a curator at Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto from 2002 to 2010. Her subsequent exhibition projects include the film trilogy Cabaret Crusades, which she initiated and developed in 2010 with Wael Shawky and of which she produced the first film The Horror Show File, as well as co-curating the Belgian Pavilion at the 14th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale in 2014 and Le Jardin Essential – Parckdesign 2016, in Brussels. Since 2010, Judith Wielander is co-curator of the Visible project together with Matteo Lucchetti, a project that researches, supports, and produces socially engaged artistic projects in a global context.
